NOXIA is a collection developed within the transformation of the former Carbochim factory into an artistic space, designed and implemented by mkt. The concept and design were created by Florina Muntean and Irina Doțenco, students at UAD, Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, under the coordination of Prof. Octavian Simion and Prof. Iuliu Duma. 2026.
NOXIA
This stool continues the same visual language as the lampshade, a 3D-printed base with the identical cream-red-black gradient, echoing the layered smoke rising from the former Carbochim furnace. Where the lampshade traces that smoke reaching upward into the air, the stool grounds it, compressing the same striped transformation into a solid, weighted form. Together, the two pieces read as two moments of the same phenomenon: one ascending, one settled, both carrying the memory of the space’s industrial past into its new identity as a creative space.
