MKT is a member of the Transylvanian Furniture Cluster (CMT), an organization that promotes collaboration between companies, academia, and research and development organizations, contributing to strengthening a competitive and innovative ecosystem for Romania’s furniture industry.
We carry out our activity within the Furniture Center of Excellence – Future Factory, a space dedicated to innovation, development, and production, created to support collaboration and knowledge transfer among industry players.
Equipped with modern infrastructure and high-performance production equipment, Future Factory provides the necessary conditions for design development, prototyping, and product creation, facilitating the transformation of concepts into functional, implementation-ready solutions.
Working within such a collaborative environment gives us access to interdisciplinary expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and valuable partnerships, enabling us to develop products tailored to current requirements for quality, sustainability, and innovation.
Center of Excellence for Furniture (CEM)
As a member of the Transylvanian Furniture Cluster, mkt is part of the Center of Excellence for Furniture (CEM), a unique national initiative developed as Romania’s first center of its kind. Through CEM, mkt gains access to modern R&D infrastructure and specialized services designed to increase the competitiveness of furniture manufacturers, from closing technological gaps and supporting digitalization, to fostering international partnerships and access to new markets. This membership also connects mkt to broader innovation efforts within the cluster, including smart, technology-integrated furniture, circular economy practices, and the use of VR, AR, and MR solutions to modernize how products are presented and sold.
